Winnipeg Public Library is celebrating Take Your Child to the Library Day on Saturday, February 3, 2018 with craft and story stations, literacy-based games, and special events including magic shows, and family concerts.
As part of I Love to Read Month, Take Your Child to the Library Day is an annual international event dedicated to encouraging families to visit their local libraries.
“We encourage families to come to any Winnipeg Public Library branch to take part in the fun activities we have planned on Take Your Child to the Library Day, and throughout the month of February as we celebrate I Love to Read Month,” said Ed Cuddy, Manager of Library Services. “The activities of Take Your Child to the Library Day spark learning through reading and creative play, making it an ideal time to discover all the library has to offer.”
A calendar of events is available online at winnipeg.ca/library. All Take Your Child to the Library Day events are free. Admission is by free tickets distributed starting 30 minutes before show time.
