In the summer Confusion Corner Bar & Grill is one of the best places in Winnipeg that offers a meal overlooking the city. This week they had a Baked Mozzarella Pizza Bun Lunch Special. This beauty had pepperoni, salami, mushrooms and marinara sauce baked with mozzarella cheese on an onion kaiser bun with mayo and arugula.
The time-honoured tradition of open faced sandwiches i.e. buttered slices of European style rye bread decorated with a combination of meat, fish, cheese, vegetables and fruits has indeed arrived in Winnipeg. At The Copenhagen they have placed a modern twist on the Danish classic. This week featured beetroot and roast beef. We had it served on the patio with a cold European beer.
The Manitoba Burger was a hit this week at Market Burger. This delicious six-ounce patty was served with cheese, chilli red onions, pickles, mustard, lettuce, and mayo. Yes we took fires with that. In case you haven’t been, Market Burger is one of Winnipeg’s most popular burger joints, and when it comes to homemade burgers, it’s the place that you want to go.
We got caked by the Cake Angels at Caked With Love Co. Their Chocolate Salted Caramel Cake was definitely sent from heaven.
